Meat Local

We've heard that the average item on the dinner plate travels 1,500 miles to get there.  In many cases of grocery store bought items for the home menu or mass-produced Sysco order style restaurants this is true.  There are of course many of us and many chefs and restaurants that are working to change this on our own menus.

Guerrilla Cuisine events have always been about the locality of the ingredients. Featuring local chefs, farmers and artisans we've been able to showcase and try all sorts of locally grown ingredients.

The American farmer is a dying breed unfortunately being replaced with massive feedlots and large scale agribusinesses.  That's why we feel its so important to support local farmers and artisans.
